Accessibility: not compliant
The CNRS Communications Department (Dircom) has committed to making its websites accessible in compliance with article 47 of law no. 2005-102 dated February 11th 2005.
To achieve this, a digital accessibility plan and action plan need to be drawn up.
This declaration of accessibility is currently under construction and applies to www.cnrs.fr.
Compliance status
The www.cnrs.fr website is not compliant with the RGAA (French official accessibility guidelines) and the Opquast checklist.
Test results
A user experience (UX) audit was based on high-impact accessibility and eco-design criteria. Following on from this audit, a partial redesign project is underway to modify several major points to make them compliant. This particularly includes: the text alternatives on the home page, in the header and footer, better HTML mark-up, better support for keyboard browsing, reduced technical debt, better use of media and reduced environmental impact (quantity of requests, weight and so on).
A general overhaul of the ecosystem is also underway.

Compensation rights
It is important to recall that article 11 of the French law No. 2005-102 dated 12th February 2005 stipulates that "a disabled person has the right to compensation for the consequences of his or her disability, whatever the origin and nature of the disability and his or her age or lifestyle."
It is therefore compulsory for all organisations to take the necessary steps to provide access within a reasonable timeframe to any information and functionalities a disabled person requires, whether the content is subject to exemptions or not. Users must be given the option of requesting accessible alternative content on the help page via an easily-accessible contact method such as an e-mail address or a contact form.
You can help us improve the site's accessibility by reporting any problems you may encounter by sending an e-mail to the Dircom Web Team.
